About our team:
Corporate Communications is part of our Corporate Human Resources team and centrally responsible for communication to associates at all sites. Corporate Communications is a fast moving, agile team, providing storytelling, editing, authoring and technical expertise to design and implement communications solutions.
The team is mindful of continuous improvement to evolve with technological developments that best serve our associates ranging from front line manufacturing to office and remote audiences.
About the position:
Our communications specialist is a fully integrated member of the internal communications team, contributing to the companys storytelling engine. This role reports to the Corporate Communications Experience Leader and drives awareness and engagement among all associates and informs them about the companys vision, goals, key initiatives, products, and people. The associate audience spans multiple locations, including Toyota Industries Corporation, Raymonds parent company.
The communications specialist drives employee engagement and leadership communication effectiveness and fosters a diverse, inclusive, and innovative culture. The incumbent will be engaged in exciting technologies and tools and will be given autonomy to manage projects and complete assignments.
You will:
* Act as reporter, writer, editor, publisher, and communication platforms subject matter expert
* Deliver compelling content with a passion for storytelling and associate engagement
* Use of diverse types of communication platforms and channels including digital messaging, a modern intranet, web apps for e-authoring presentations, videos, graphics, and more
* Determine the ideal layout for digital and printed pages, ensuring page text and images are balanced and create a natural flow for the intended target audience
* Develop work instructions to guide and train associates on uniform communication standards
* Actively engage in internal meetings, participating in company-wide initiatives and priorities
* Work collaboratively in a team environment with remote partners
About you:
* Bachelors degree in creative writing, journalism, public relations, English, or communications
* 3 or more years of communications or training experience
* Speak, write, and edit succinctly and compellingly
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering clear and precise work
* Know Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
* Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate
* Strong presentation skills - comfortable presenting to a diverse audience
It would be great if you had:
* Technical familiarity with SharePoint, e-authoring programs, and digital signage (Poppulo) platforms
Your application must include a portfolio demonstrating strong writing and graphic skills.
About the total compensation package:
Wage - $29.04 - $33.14 per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidates education and experience.
