Job Description :

A sleep technologist works under the general supervision of the designee of the medical director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. The sleep technologist is able to performthe duties defined for a sleep technician defined by the policy and procedures of the department.

Education: Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology.

OR, Successful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competencies required of a sleep technician.

AND

Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential to be completed within year of employment.

Experience: 1 year experience in the performance of sleep diagnostic and therapy studies preferred.

Licenses/Certification: Current BLS certification.

Essential Functions:

* Assist the Supervisor with all aspects of sleep center operations.

* Demonstrate adherence to AASM scoring parameters

* Perform routine equipment care and maintenance

* Respond to sleep patients procedural related inquiries by providing appropriate information

* Provide patient education utilizing sleep center specific protocols

* Review and evaluate sleep studies to provide feedback to staff

Shift - Night

Schedule - 12 hour shifts

Status - Full Time

Compensation: $25.37 - $35.51/hour depending on experience. (shift and weekend differential pay)
