Position Reports To: Processing Supervisor Job Description: The production supervisor is responsible for leading, planning, organizing and directing the daily activities on the production floor. Primary Responsibilities:
- Accountable for upholding Ervin Policies, Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Production standards
- Supervision and scheduling of hourly employees
- Maintain equipment to meet efficiency goals
- Training of hourly employees
- Assist with all record keeping requirements
- Maintain supply inventories
- Organize equipment and employees to meet departmental goals
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School diploma and some college or equivalent combination of experience and education is necessary.
- Basic computer skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is desirable
- Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in the manufacturing process, maintenance, and repair activities is necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to ascend/descend heights to inspect/evaluate equipment such as overhead cranes and dust collectors for correct/safe operation
