We are currently seeking Per Diem Physical Therapists to provide direct services through the Early Intervention (EI) programs (birth-3). We provide services throughout Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. Services to be provided in school and/or home-based settings.Physical therapy is used to build strength, mobility and motor skills. Our physical therapists help children with physical, developmental or neurological disabilities. The main emphasis of PT is on impairments of movement that lead to functional limitations.Responsibilities:Provide direct care treatment to children; ages birth-3Evaluate progress and effectiveness and adjust treatment to achieve maximum benefitDocument all activities and assessments in detailed report in a timely mannerParticipate in multidisciplinary team communication and service plansIdentify goals, measure progress, and provide plans for re-evaluationCollaborate with related services in providing individualized programming for each childIndividualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) participation to develop, implement and monitor planRequirements:Professional Physical Therapist DegreeNYS Licensure in Physical TherapistExperience working with infants and toddlers with development delayExperience with NYC DOH Early Intervention Program; knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice.
