The Opportunity Candidate is responsible for providing a quality level of hospitality to guests, insuring both front and back of the house work cohesively to brand standards of operation tangible to the DOH industry standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of servers, hosts, and other front-of-house staff.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee the seating arrangement to optimize table turnover and ensure efficient service.
  • Manage reservations and coordinate with the host/hostess to balance the flow of guests.
  • Support servers by assisting with taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and clearing tables during peak periods.
  • Ensure servers are knowledgeable about menu items and specials.
  • Performing routine and assigned opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor food and service quality to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the dining area to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Train new staff on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Provide ongoing training to existing staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Assist in creating and managing work schedules for front-of-house staff.
  • Coordinate breaks and rotations to ensure adequate coverage during busy periods.
  • Maintain effective communication with the kitchen and other staff members.
  • Relay important information, such as special requests or VIP guests, to the appropriate parties.
  • Handle guest complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other managers to address any operational challenges.
  • Encourage upselling of menu items and promotions to increase revenue.
  • Work with the marketing team to promote special events or offers.
  • Assist in managing cash transactions, handling customer payments, and reconciling cash drawers.
  • Ensure accuracy in billing and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety checks to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff, bar staff, and other managers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field is typically preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant working experience is essential.
  • Strong leadership and management skills are crucial, as the role involves supervising and motivating a team.
  • In roles that involve direct customer interaction, exceptional customer service skills are vital. Floor managers should be able to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests effectively.
  • The ability to identify and address technical issues, resolve administrative challenges, and make informed decisions is vital for this role.
