Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Radiation Therapist to work under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist and perform responsibilities associated with the localization of tumors and the administration of radiation therapy. The ideal candidate possesses knowledge in principles, practices and procedures involved with the operation of ionizing radiographic and radiation therapy equipment, as well as human anatomy and proper patient positioning. Responsibilities also include performing CT Simulations, ensuring patient safety protocols, participating in performance improvement activities, and maintaining patient work flow. The candidate must uphold NYS Licensure, registration in Radiologic Technology, ARRT, and BLS certification.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Positioning patients for radiation therapy treatments with accuracy
• Performing daily quality assurance checks on equipment
• Training and supervising students during clinical rotations
• Effectively communicating with the medical team
• Maintaining patient confidence and protecting operations

Education/Experience Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiation Therapy Technology
• Preferably a Bachelor of Science in Radiation or AAS degree in Radiation Therapy

Licensure/Certification Requirements

• Current NYS Licensure registration in Radiologic Technology Radiation Therapy
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Certification
