Examples of DutiesMaterials Management Volunteers: (Training will be provided in one or more of the following):
- Shelving in Children's section
- Shelf readingchecking sections of shelves to make sure they're in order
- Straightening books and media on shelves so patrons can find them more easily
- Children's materials cart ordering
- Possible additional work available in Adult Fiction, Adult Nonfiction and Holds Shelving
Typical Qualifications -Friendliness and respect toward people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and abilities -Able to work a minimum of 1 weekly shift of 2 hours and be able to communicate to department supervisor when unable to work an upcoming shift. -Other qualifications will be discussed in the interview according to the volunteer position.
