The Cancer Early Detection Advanced Research (CEDAR) center is a collaborative institution within the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. The Knight Cancer Institute, known as one of the pioneersin personalized cancer medicine, is an international leader in research and cancer treatment. We are seeking a student worker that is pursuing a degree in a biology or engineering related field, preferably bioengineering. No experience required, but preferable that they have experience with bioprinting. Key responsibilities are: Assisting with bioprinting, microscopy, image analysis, data analysis, materials and reagent preparation, and lab maintenance tasks.

ADMINISTRATIVE

Under direct supervision, primarily provides general administrative support for a project, team, or work unit. Similar to an Office Clerk or Specialist*. May also include some basic data entry and report generation. .

RESEARCH

Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide.

Education

• Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in one od below
  • High School, OR
  • Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)
  • Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours)

Experice

• Tissue engineering
• Biofabrication of materials
• General research experience

Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic lab technique
• Capacity to think critically
• Willingness to learn
