Reporting to the Vice President, People & Culture, the recruitment coordinator will partner with the HR team to provide premier candidate and employee customer services support. The recruitment coordinator is responsible for ensuring timely execution and completion of a seamless workflow for each new employee.Salary: $25.27MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with Talent Acquisition team in recruiting candidates for open positions.Assist with posting positions, preparing and sending offer letters.Disposition candidates in recruitment gateway. Enter notes on candidate record as needed.Input required information in on-line background check systems to process employment, education, reference, and licensing verifications. Follow-up with candidates to obtain missing information or documents.Update hiring managers weekly on candidate clearance status. Notify hiring managers of any issues with background checks or candidate paperwork.Follow-up with candidates regarding status and any issues.Coordinate with candidates and hiring managers to confirm start date.Serve as backup to assist with facilitating and documenting the completion of background clearance processes for volunteers, interns, and contractors.Assist with reviewing, completing, and ensuring that background disclosure and authorization documents are maintained in digital filesAs needed, facilitate Form I-9 document collection. Enter information in E-Verify. Follow up with candidates regarding no-match notifications or to obtain missing information.Update system utilized for tracking and reporting on onboarding status of candidates.Prepare and disseminate recruiting/on-boarding related reports as required. Assist in compiling reports to document recruitment metrics.Participate in special projects as required.SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSESAssociate's Degree required.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEA minimum of three (3) years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management, or related field. Experience in Social Service/non-profit highly preferred.Familiarity with NYC DHS background check process a plus.Excellent communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat etc. Experience using UKG/Ultipro preferred.High level of understanding of HR practices and employment regulations.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills along with strong attention to detail.Ability to multi-task, prioritize and the unique ability to deftly handle the unexpected within a fast-paced working environment.Must be able to display a high level of discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential employee information.Excellent employee customer service skills and spirit of team orientation.SPECIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWill be required to read printed and handwritten materials.Will be required to manipulate the computer mouse and keyboard.Must be able to sit for long periods of time.Must be able to enter information in digital forms and spreadsheetsAt URI we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment.
