MerchandiserA Merchandiser is a non-exempt position responsible for working with the sales department to execute merchandising standards. A merchandiser provides support to the assigned route, the salesperson and supervisor to increase visibility and drive sales for Adams Beverages. A merchandiser reports daily to Area Delivery Manager.Primary ObjectivesSales FunctionsMerchandisingPack Out Off-Premise AccountsCommunication with Store Managers/Grocery Managers/ReceiversShelf Space and Cooler ManagementMaintain, Organize and Clean Back Stock AreaProduct Rotation using Product Freshness CodesShelf Tag and Price Sign AwarenessEnsure Plan-o-gram is being followedReport Out of StocksEnsure Cardboard and Plastic Are Placed in Recycling AreaDisplay BuildingBuild, resupply and merchandise with relevant Point of Sale and PricingInstalling Point of Connection Materials (P.O.C.M)Delivering and installing promotional items that draw attention to our productExamples of P.O.C.M. include neon signs, banners, price signs and inflatable itemsUnderstand P.O.C.M. standards and executionAssist Salespeople and Sales Supervisors with large deliveries and display buildsBreakage/Repackaging productTools UsedManual pallet jackU-Boat/FloatHand truckPortfolio / Brand and Product KnowledgeSegment/Chain KnowledgeChain/KAM initiatives and programming ie /cross merchandisingPricing KnowledgeReview weekly ad sales sheetsAdministrative FunctionsCommunication and Customer ServicePhone, email, text message, face to face communicationFrequent communication with direct line manager, sales team, team members, and account manager'sEducationContinued completion of ABU coursesSolid Understanding of TechnologyEncompass MobileMicrosoft Outlook for company communicationOperations FunctionsGeneral, Vehicle & Supermarket Safety RequirementsFollow Safety Policies and ProceduresFollow all policies and procedures pertaining to proper usage of a company vehicle.
