Duties & ResponsibilitiesIssues, receives, and maintains accountability of all firearms and ammunition
Delivers firearms, ammunition, and equipment to range utilizing a work vehicle
Schedules and performs preventive and organizational maintenance on firearms
? Develops/coordinates/implements maintenance and inspection program for firearms
? Submits parts orders to Program Manager
? Utilizes computer to enter and verify data regarding specific firearms and develop reports
? Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
? Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
? Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications & Training? 21 years of age or older
? Required:
o 2+ years' experience in armorer role OR gunsmithing degree/ industry cert
o NRA Certified Range Safety Officer (training provided)
o NRA Certified Instructor (Rifle and Shotgun) (training provided)
? Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
? Must have a high degree of organizational skills and attention to detail
? Must be able to multi-task while meeting the needs of a rapidly changing environment
? Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
? Be or become a registered member of Scouting America
Performance Results? Completes full term period
? Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants
? Contribute at least one improvement to firearms maintenance procedures
Physical Requirements? Long periods of time sitting/standing and able to lift 50-70 lbs. overhead
? Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements
