We are recruiting for a Total Rewards Specialist to join a well-established, renowned company in the Sacramento region. This direct hire, onsite position reports to a collaborative HR Manager and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to an organization dedicated to valuing its employees and giving back to the community. As a key member of the Human Resources team, the Total Rewards Specialist will be responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, administration, and oversight of total rewards programs. This role ensures that all programs align with the organization's strategic goals, are competitive, sustainable, and drive both short-term and long-term performance by effectively attracting, rewarding, and retaining top talent, while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards. Salary: $76,000-$107,000 DOE.

The qualified candidate will have at least five years of Total Rewards (compensation and benefits) experience, strong analytical ability, and technical proficiency with HR systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer compensation programs for employees ensuring ranges are competitive and in line with the organizations compensation design.
  • Provide input to and manage the approved wage and salary policies in accordance with the corporate policies and procedures, research market trends, external equity, incentive compensation, and compliance with governmental wage and hour regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
  • Conduct new hire benefits orientations.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Perform job evaluations, assessment, and interpretation of salary data.
  • Research, collect, recommend and processes data for annual salary increase process.
  • Manage and support projects related to compensation and benefits reporting.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation and benefits, employee reporting requirement.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related business degree.
  • 5-7 years experience total rewards, wage & compensation, and benefits administration.
  • SHRM Total Rewards Specialty Credential (or equivalent designation) preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • In-depth knowledge of data structure, compensation, and benefits programs.
  • Intermediate skills with Excel, Power BI, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with HRIS Systems.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data reporting.
