Employees of Bernalillo County enjoy many thoughtful rewards such as, but not limited to generous leave accruals; career development opportunities; remote & flex-work options as appropriate; longevity pay; education assistance program; health benefits; lucrative retirement; and so much more.Office and Inventory Specialist will perform professional customer service focused duties to include: stationery ordering, receipt, and delivery (business cards, letterhead, envelopes, memos, name plates, etc.), printed project processing; incoming and outgoing mail processing, the order, receipt, organization, and delivery of printing supplies and/or materials, office supplies, etc. Receives, stores, and distributes stocks of office supplies according to county needs.20.63 - 24.27 - 29.25 USD HourlyDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Deliver completed printing products, to include stationery (business cards, letterhead, memos, forms, name plates, etc.), non-complicated flyers, brochures, handbooks, etc.2. Print, bind, fold and/or laminate printed materials upon request. 3. Track printing materials and office supply levels and maintains systematic inventory databases (Mailshift, SAP, Just-in-time, Onvoy).4. Orders, receives, and stores office supplies.5. Prepare County related mail, parcels, and packages for shipping.6. Receives incoming materials, supplies and equipment and verifies accuracy of shipment and will process, sort and deliver all incoming mail, parcels, and packages. 7. Operate and troubleshoot printing and mail processing equipment. 8. Prepare and maintain a variety of records, logs and files related to the business operation. 9. Inspect incoming deliveries and shipments to ensure items are in acceptable condition, prior to delivery and record damages or defects; notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel of same. 10. Prepare documents for scanning and perform quality control measures to ensure accuracy of imaging. 11. Performs clerical duties related to maintaining stock inventories; may operate a computer terminal. 12. Ensures customer satisfaction and positive rapport with vendors. 13. Maintains all business machines within the county. 14. Provides professional and customer focused service to employees and promotes a helpful and professional image of the Business Center services to employees and external customers. 15. Prioritize duties and performs accordingly and ensures urgent deliveries are handled immediately. 16. Incumbent(s) in this classification may handle sensitive and/or confidential records, plans, documents or decisions that require maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. 17. High School Diploma or GED, and four (4) years work experience in a central store/stockroom environment, warehouse, inventory control, office or administrative capacity or government setting with direct customer interactions. Any equivalent combination related to education and/or experience may be considered for the above requirements.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSThe offer of this Bernalillo County position requires compliance with the following:1. Employee must successfully complete the post offer-employment medical examination and background investigation. 2. Employee must comply with the safety guidelines of the County. 3. Employee must have a valid New Mexico driver's license by employment date and maintain a valid NM driver's license while employed in this position. 4. Employee must become and maintain NM Notary license while employed in this position.5. Employee must complete required FEMA training(s) as assigned to position.WORKING CONDITIONS1. Are performed primarily indoors at 95%.2. Indoor duties are performed in a temperature-controlled environment. 3. Typically, indoor duties are performed on an even surface, which may be concrete, tile, wood, or carpet.4. Outdoor duties may be performed on uneven surfaces and asphalt when working in the warehouse yard.5. Potential hazards include exposure to fumes/odors from chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, adhesives, etc.6. Work hazards or potential work hazards include heavy lifting, operation of equipment, and other hazards inherent in work performed in a print and mail room setting.EQUIPMENT, TOOLS AND MATERIALS1. Worker uses a computer, desk phone, calculator, printer, binding machine, laminating machine, scanner, and mail sorting equipment in the performance of duties. 2. Worker uses a wide variety of work aides, including: two-wheel dolly, and four-wheel cart, and pallet jack. 3. Worker is required to operate county vehicles.
