Student Success Program AnalystMaximise your chances of a successful application to this job by ensuring your CV and skills are a good match.About University at Albany:Established in 1844 and designated a University Center of the State University of New York in 1962, the University at Albany's broad mission of excellence in undergraduate and graduate education, research, and public service engages a diverse student body of more than 17,000 students in nine schools and colleges across three campuses.Located in Albany, New York, New York State's capital, the University is convenient to Boston, New York City, and the Adirondacks.Job Description:Primary Responsibilities:Perform operational data analysis as requested by the Vice Provost and unit leaders, e.g.,Support major grant-funded initiatives, including the multi-campus LS-AMP and HHMI EXCEL in STEM awardsAddress data requests related to National Institute for Student Success Review processPrepare Academic Recovery Program data reportsAggregate data & generate daily reports and weekly summaries on unit-wide processes, e.g.,Withdrawal and readmissionRetention initiativesRe-enrollment campaignsIdentify emerging patterns in operational data on student success interventions across Academic Innovation and Student Success in:Academic AdvisingAcademic RecoveryEarly Alerts/CasesLearning Commons - Tutoring/Supplemental Instruction/HHMIEOPStudent EngagementHigh Impact PracticesSpecial Populations - Transfer and OnlineUpdate data and reporting for AISS operational processes, including withdrawal, readmission, microgrants, and the Academic Recovery Program.Develop data inquiries related to student activity - data analytics (end of semester & year-round), e.g.,Academic standingDean's ListRetention dataMicrogrant dataRe-enrollment campaign dataProgress reportsCourse enrollmentJotForm data/Weekly JotForm reportWithdrawal data/Daily withdrawal updatesDevelop accessible dashboards for AISS data tables, reports, and graphics.Prepare presentation materials in support of unit updates for internal and external use, e.g.,Updates to AISS 5-year annual reportPresident's and Provost's Listening and Learning ToursAISS annual retreatCreate and update form & workflow processes in JotForm to support unit-wide processesProvide operational support for Undergraduate Education academic processes, including but not limited to:Academic program registration and accreditationTransfer articulationAcademic standing/dismissalReenrollment campaignsMicrogrant awardsCollaborate within AISS to provide support for data collection, process, and operational analysisProvide data to support unit budget requestsPrepare data reports and visual representations for inclusion in grant applicationsOversee graduate students and/or student assistants in updating operational dataRequirements:Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization3-4 years related work experience in a higher education environmentExperience working with large data sets, developing queries, and merging data sets.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPointProficiency in IAS/Peoplesoft, EAB Navigate, Business Intelligence programsApplicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus communityApplicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their rolePreferred Qualifications:Experience working with: Power BI, SPSS, TableauAdditional Information:Professional Rank and Salary Grade: Senior Staff Assistant, SL-3, $60,000-$65,000Special Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
