Maloya is seeking a part time server for immediate hire. Weekly schedule Fri & Sat 4:30pm-business decline. Restaurant closes at or before midnight. Prospective candidates must be available to work this schedule. We are looking to fill this position immediately.

Job requirements

-Provide energetic, courteous service to all guests in a restaurant dining room of 8 tables during our busiest service periods

-Work in collaboration with the bartender to complete all front of house tasks. The server and bartender work together in a small dining room without a host, food runner, or busser.

-Memorize menu items and ingredients and learn basic information about the restaurant's cultural representation

-Engage with guests to create memorable experiences and encourage return visits

-Treat management and colleagues with kindness and respect

Ideal candidate has

-At least 1 year of relevant experience

-A basic understanding of French

-Experience and/or interest in rum and rhum cocktails

-Reliability & punctuality

-A high sense or urgency and speedy foot pace

-Reliable transportation OR advanced understanding of the in's and out's of the MTA. Punctuality is key.
