Job Description :

Journeyman - Typically 3 years and above documented field experience in chosen craft discipline with ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently.

* May be required to lift and carry items weighing no more than 50 pounds.

* Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above.

* Must be able to move in and around confined and uneven areas.

* Must have full range of motion consistent with age.

* May be required consistently to work 12 hour shifts performing construction based labor in varying temperature extremes and conditions.

* May be required, on occasion, to work up to 16 hours in a single shift.

* Must be able to climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, scaffolds and steel framework.

* Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job related noises.

* Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces.

* Must be able to perform the following actions to the frequency stated:

* Reads and interprets blueprints, layout plans, vendor installation and operation manuals, and other schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

* Dismantles machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools.

* Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.

* Assembles and installs equipment, such as shaffing, conveyors and tram rails, using cranes, hand tools and power tools.

* Constructs foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials, such as wood, cement and steel.

* Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs.

* Must have knowledge of optical and laser alignments.

* Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools.

* May operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.

* May install robot and modify its program using teach pendant.

* May use transit and level for equipment setting.

* Loads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies.

* Performs lubricating maintenance, cleaning activities, or repair of tools, machines, and equipment.

* Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.

* Use effective verbal and written communication skills.

* Be capable of listening and communicating with other supervision and employees.

* Be motivated and work safely and productively.

* Understand and respond accordingly to all safety alerts, warnings, hazards, etc.
