Posting Summary
Rutgers is seeking a Student Assistant for the Urban-Global Public Health Department within the School of Public Health, located in Newark, NJ. The Student Assistant, under the supervision of the Program Director, will provide research and administrative support for community and public health research programs and projects. The three key projects are a community-based research project with women who experienced severe maternal mortality, an evaluation of Centering Pregnancy and Centering Parenting in New Jersey, and for the Department of Health an evaluation of Community Health Workers for COVID Response and Resilient Communities (CCR).
Duties include:
* Supports research activities.
* Conducts literature reviews and other research reviews.
* Creates presentation materials.
* Assists with recruitment and consenting for research projects.
* Assists with the editing and preparation of manuscripts, publications, reports and presentations.
* Prepares materials for submission of grant applications.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Must be a current Rutgers' student.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
* High proficiency with Power Point and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
* A student currently enrolled in a masters or doctoral program, in public health is preferred.
* Experience with or completion of qualitative research methods course preferred.
