The A/P Clerk & Bookkeeper will manage accounts payable functions, maintain accurate financial record and support overall bookkeeping tasks.

This position is part of the Finance department in Bellmore, NY and will be locate on site.

You will be part of the Accounts Payable team and report directly to the EVP of Finance & Technology. This role is essential for ensuring timely payments and accurate financial reporting. In this role, you will have to opportunity to:

  • Process and manage all accounts payable transactions, including invoices and expense reports.
  • Verify the accuracy of invoices and payment requests.
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic transfers.
  • Reconcile accounts payable with the general ledger and financial statements.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures, ensuring all accounts payable entries are recorded accurately.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to vendor accounts.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Maintain organized financial records and files.
  • Support general bookkeeping tasks, such as posting journal entries and reconciling bank statements.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • At least 1 year experience with Quickbooks online
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Ramp experience
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance.
  • Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
