The Materials Associates are responsible for performing the following duties: The specific job assignment may entail some or all of the job functions. Associates are expected to rotate through various job functions.We are looking for a Material Handler - MDC for 1st shift working 6:00AM - 2:30PM Monday-FridayCompares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming, outgoing and being moved around the factor to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other recordsChecks all materials being moved for accurate labeling, quantity and paperwork.Operates lift truck or use hand truck to move shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work areaOperate a tugger pulling carts to pick up materials in the raw materials supermarket and delivering them to the production linesAffixes shipping labels and identification labels on items as requiredProcesses computer transaction for incoming, outgoing and inter-plant moves in MAPICS and Future 3 as requiredUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, reject damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departmentsExamines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specificationsMaintains good housekeeping throughout the materials storage areasComplies with all safety policies and proceduresMay be required to train othersPerform other duties as requiredQualificationsHigh School diploma or GED required.Minimum of 3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.Experience of two years working in a manufacturing materials department.Able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.Two years experience entering computer base transactionsThree years Fork lift driving experience and a current certificationPowered by JazzHR
