Installation of various vehicle interior/exterior parts according to specifications and using hand tools, power tools, and production fixtures. Duties and Responsibilities: Installation of all nonelectrical interior/exterior components and hardware. Bolts, screws, clips, or otherwise fastens together parts to form subassemblies, such as doors, seats, instrument control panels, steering columns, and axle units. Seals joints and seams, using caulking gun. Fastens seats, door paneling, headliners, carpeting, molding, and other trim into position. Assembles fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment): Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices. Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards. Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools such as: to drills, screw gun. Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards. Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision. Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled. Ability to work with arms above head. Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding. Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day (minus specified breaks.) Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards. Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery. Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Ability to handle and dispose of hazardous waste.
