What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year(s) of forklift operation experience within a distribution center, manufacturing plant, or military environment
- Ability to work overtime and weekends
- Forklift certification preferred
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, stand, twist, stoop, kneel, squat, bend, climb, reach overhead, and lift 50 pounds
What You'll Do as a Forklift Operator
- Load and unload trucks
- Pick product cases
- Stage finished product
- Demonstrate initiative
- Maintain adequate levels of productivity, utilization, and efficiency
- Load proper quantities, maintaining quality, damage-free product
- Properly distribute the weight of products
- Utilize paperwork and radio-frequency (RF) equipment to complete tasks
- Visually inspect and identify damaged or defective goods
- Ensure the proper rotation of stock using the FIFO (first in, first out) method
- Perform maintenance and consolidation of product bins
- Perform other tasks as assigned
