Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $36.25/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Location: Onsite, Niskayuna, NY

Whats a typical day as a Renewable Energy Learning Center Facilities Support? Youll be:
Managing the Renewable Energy Learning Center buildings and providing lab support to technical instructors.
Identifying facility maintenance needs, requesting quotes, negotiating pricing, and selecting vendors.
Acting as the primary point of contact for vendors and ensuring they follow RELC rules.
Conducting routine building maintenance, both inside and out.
Tracking, maintaining, and ordering facility supplies.
Assuring lab safety rules are always maintained and driving a site safety culture.
Assisting in repairs of GE Wind Turbines and performing component replacements and troubleshooting.
Performing administrative functions such as ordering tooling and parts, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with calibration and servicing requirements.
Coordinating crews of students and demonstrating proper use of lab tools and equipment.
Assisting instructors with student lab exercises as time allows.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Have 4 years of facilities maintenance experience and an associate degree in a technical field or equivalent vocational training.
Have experience in facility management and working with and managing vendors.
Are familiar with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance and have a working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements.
Have mechanical knowledge and electrical aptitude.
Are able to read electrical schematics.
Have the ability and willingness to work at heights and possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Are able and willing to work staggered shift start times, if theres a business need.
