Residential Aides (RA) perform operational duties to support the clients housed in the facility. These individuals are responsible for monitoring clients and ensuring the safety within the facility. The Residential Aide will be the primary connection between the program staff and the clients, working closely with clients to provide them with support. The residential aide will spend a large amount of time with the residents. They will spend this time helping clients who need more hands-on assistance. They will also provide insight to the current atmosphere in the facility and what are the current client complaints or recommendations. This position is eligible for Comunilife's generous benefits and paid time off package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement employer contributions after 2 years, tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities.Essential Duties:Responsible for client safety while in facility; monitor all entrances, viewing the the surveillance system, and conducting periodic rounds on facility floors, as assigned.Ensure the safety of all residents and staff .Document all residents, staff and visitors entering and exiting the building.Complete census forms, report all incidents, and log all events in the Facility Log BookFacilitate the food distribution process including receiving food delivery, light food preparation (no cooking), serving food, and disposal of trash and sanitizing food service areas.Ability to work with families and childrenIncident reportingFacilitate resident new admissions and move outs.Record all daily census reports in the CARES system.Generate and submit nightly rosters to funding sources.File all paperwork relating to shift coverage.Provide a professional greeting to all visitors and callers.Generate and submit all incident reports, which includes detailed information of the incident, and names of the first responders (i.e. police, ambulance, fire department, ACS, or community representatives).Ensure the lobby and front of the building is always cleared.Prevent loitering in all areas within and surrounding the building.Assist with fire drills/emergency evacuations.Assist custodial and security staff with the maintenance and security of the facility.Distribute mail to staff and clients.Enforce the curfew regulations, and facilitate room checks and hourly rounds.Implement all programmatic needs as necessary and outlined by the Director and Funding Sources.Responsible for partial Intake Assessment including but not limited to Client and family members as necessaryQualificationsEducation and Experience Requirement(s):High school diploma or equivalent.Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.1 to 2 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in a social services agency required. Direct client/participant services preferred.
