  • Assist Payroll Manager in overseeing the payroll department and daily payroll operations for semi-monthly and weekly multi-state payrolls for US non-exempt and exempt team members.
  • Assist in managing payroll related inquiries and resolve team member issues in a timely and professional manner within a multiple-policy environment.
  • Informed knowledge of taxes and payroll laws and procedures.
  • Data analytics for accurate processing, i.e., multi-state minimum wage laws, payroll taxes, 401(k), statutory and supplemental benefits, etc.
  • Assist clients with procedural and best practices training as needed to achieve accurate timekeeping solutions.
  • Analysis of retro pay issues involving inter-company allocations for team members with multiple positions and/or rates of pay at shared locations.
  • Manage manual check processing for payroll discrepancies and mandatory final check issuance per state laws.
  • Coordination of payroll processes for a small team: assist in monitoring workflows, team assignments, and processing deadlines.
  • Assist with semi-monthly and quarter-end processes.
  • Provides backup coverage for the payroll manager in his/her absence.
The Nitty Gritty
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential; this position is the point of contact for payroll queries.
  • Strong organizational and analytical critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of transactions for multiple clients while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast past environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations.
  • Capacity to manage projects/workflows during busy periods.
  • 4+ years' experience processing payroll in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 2+ years' experience in a similar support position.
  • Hospitality experience a plus
  • On-site position, flex time schedule within core business hours.
