Job DescriptionHill International is seeking a Scheduler for an on-going project in New York.Responsibilities
  • The scheduler shall have an in-depth knowledge of construction practices and sequencing
  • The construction scheduler shall review construction schedules with supporting documentation
  • Regularly inform all stakeholders about schedule changes, delays, and progress to keep everyone aligned
  • Identify potential scheduling risks and conflicts, proposing mitigation strategies to prevent project delays
  • Demonstrate the ability to prepare a Critical Path Schedule (CPM)
  • Prepare detailed reports on project timelines, progress, and any deviations from the plan for management review
  • Assist the Project Team in evaluating and monitoring the Contractors progress schedule as well as consulting and troubleshooting issues throughout the construction of the project
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of resources as per the schedule
  • Utilize scheduling data to forecast project completion dates and resource needs, adjusting plans as necessary
  • Conduct regular audits of schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Excellent computer skills within depth knowledge of Primavera scheduling software and Microsoft Project. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel will be required
Qualifications
  • BS degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building/Construction Management is preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of scheduling experience
  • Strong background using Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Demonstrated experience in scheduling for large-scale or complex construction projects, preferably in sectors like infrastructure and commercial buildings
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey scheduling information to diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling and reporting
  • Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and work environments, including potential site visits or extended hours when necessary
  • Experience with construction schedules for the design-build phase of the projects
  • Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling knowledge/experience and the ability to analyze schedules to determine duration and logic issues
  • Proficiency developing detailed resource loaded design and construction schedules, and preparing progress/status reports and performance of earned value analysis
  • Experience with time impact analysis
  • Construction claims and change order experience is preferred
  • Construction scheduler should have experience integrating the construction schedule into the master schedule
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$155,000.
