This position will run from approximately October through March. Responsibilities of the Snow Sports School Coordinator will include hiring, training, and scheduling instructors. Book and manage booked lessons as well as creating marketing strategies and materials for lessons. Facilitate yearly Development (Devo) Program with focus on student experience and professionalism. Assist Site Manager with various administrative and marketing functions outside of general Snow Sports School tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssist in hiring all ski and snowboard instructors for a range of lesson and ability types.Create a training program for all instructors, using the PSIA-AASI standards to ensure uniformity of teaching style and guest experience.Coordinate and schedule training for all instructors prior to season for dry land training. On snow training to be done as soon as possible.Document all steps of the training process and ensure that all instructors have completed the necessary forms and have passed the training program prior to teaching students.Develop lesson plans for each lesson type, including marketing materials and strategies.Oversee booking and scheduling process for lessons. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring online bookings, creating online bookings, proper lesson ticket process, training front desk staff on lesson types, bookings, lesson ticket process, rescheduling lessons as needed.Coordinate the Development Program and the processes involved from start to finish. Sign up returning students, market for new students, forms for check-in, instructor scheduling, rental equipment distribution, and lesson plans. Track snow sports school supplies. Some of which include edgie wedgies, lesson tickets, invoice sheets, jackets, fencing, cones, gates, flags, little shredders supplies.Assist Site Manager with various administrative tasks, including but not limited, scheduling, ordering supplies, picking up supplies, coordinating with other departments, filing and documentation.Assist Site Manager with area marketing. To include but not limited to, content creation, copy creation, marketing strategies, and radio advertising. Full knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols with the ability to train office staff on these procedures.Ability to perform all opening and closing tasks daily, if required.Ability to assist guests with all aspects of ticketing, including but not limited to, lift tickets, rental equipment, retail merchandise, season passes, and ski and snowboard school.Be well-informed of all resort information, work closely with other departments to collaborate on business levels, group business & special events.Provide excellent customer service.Effectively interact with all management staff and co-workers across all departments to support progress toward the overall organizational goals and objectives.Work in other departments when needed and perform other duties as assigned.Must be able and willing to work flexible schedule to include early mornings, overnights, holidays, and weekends. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITYGeneral knowledge of, and ability to manage the snow sports school.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and good rapport with individuals of all ages including supervisors, colleagues, children, and the public.Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.Ability to use Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
