Job Description
The Administrative Support Assistant will assist the managing director in the day-to-day operation of the GlycoMIP Materials Innovation Platform, MIP, and complete a diverse portfolio of administrative support functions. The Administrative Support Assistant will have responsibilities in the areas of event implementation and support, communications, outreach, data collection, reporting and recordkeeping. This individual will work with MIP team members including faculty, post-doctoral fellows and students, and user facility staff. The Administrative Support Assistant will report to the GlycoMIP Managing Director and work closely with the GlycoMIP Program Coordinator. The position will also support the work of the GlycoMIP Program Coordinator during times of absence, as appropriate.
This position is 32 hours per week with benefits.
Required Qualifications
? Experience providing administrative support in an office environment
? Experience supporting event planning activities
? Experience and proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite
? Exceptional organizational skills
? Exceptional interpersonal and time-management skills
? Excellent communication skills
? Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team to include a diverse group of faculty and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
? Coursework or training in business management, communications, marketing
? Experience working on a federally funded project
? Experience using financial reporting systems
? Experience with professional social media platforms, such as X (Twitter), Facebook and LinkedIn
