Job Summary: The Facilities Technician I plays a key role in maintaining the property at peak condition for guests and associates. As the lead Facilities Technician, you'll respond to team inquiries, working under the guidance of the Facilities Manager and General Manager. Responsibilities encompass overseeing and preserving various aspects, such as mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile, and other equipment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Job Responsibilities:

* Assist Facilities Manager in coordinating daily tasks

* Foster positive work environment within Facilities Team

* Serve as liaison between Supervisor and Facilities Technician Team

* Independently handle maintenance tasks in guest rooms and hotel buildings

* Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, furniture assembly

* Troubleshoot and repair low-level plumbing, HVAC, painting, sheet rock

* Assist in identifying and addressing issues requiring skilled maintenance

* Conduct routine checks and maintenance in assigned areas

* Update and manage work order tickets according to company procedures

* Communicate effectively with departments for timely work order fulfillment

* Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms

* Possess thorough knowledge of department equipment

* Adhere to Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) program, including MSDS

* Observe department rules, regulations, and dress code for safety and compliance

* Maintain accurate documentation of daily logs, readings, and inspections

* Respond promptly to work orders, demonstrating teamwork and responsiveness

* Ensure safety and security throughout the hotel premises

* Maintain exterior grounds, parking areas, and public access areas

* Perform other duties as assigned by Facilities Supervisor

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

* Adequate education and literacy skills for product label identification and communication with guests.

* Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding basic English is preferred.

* Essential customer service experience; all technicians must engage with guests.

* Strong preference for mechanical or technical experience in building maintenance.

* Proficient in computer usage and capable of processing work tickets.

* Required 3-5 years of building maintenance experience.

* Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions.

* Demonstrates leadership skills in effectively leading a team.
