Role Description

This is a full-time Real Estate Pre-closing paralegal role at Perigon Legal Services, LLC located in Sandy Springs, GA, with flexibility for some remote work. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to real estate pre-closing procedures, document preparation, conducting title searches, coordinating with clients, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge in using Softpro (required)
  • Knowledge of real estate law and pre-closing processes
  • Experience in preparing legal documents and conducting title searches
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for legal research and documentation
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies or related field- Not Required
  • Certification as a paralegal is a plus
  • Prior experience as a real estate paralegal is preferred

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate with real estate agents and transaction coordinators to ensure receipt of information needed to complete the preclosing process
  • Open file and order title
  • Send out buyer and seller information sheets- if LLC, need OA, if INC- need Corporate Resolution, if Trust- need Trust agreement
  • IF seller or buyer is a company- check with GA secretary of State site and print the compliance and put in file
  • Insure you have a full and complete contract with all exhibits and amendments
  • Ensure contract has been properly executed
  • Communicate with loan officers and loan processors regarding preparing and sending title documents
  • Work alongside title attorney on clearing title
  • Gather and process contract documents by entering necessary information and uploading documents into Softpro
  • Payoffs
  • HOA- compare to CAD to make sure it was properly disclosed
  • Water
  • Termite
  • Home Warranty
  • Completing daily tasks in Soft Pro
  • Scheduling closings including setting up Mailouts
  • Communicate with all parties on scheduling and sending out RSVP's
  • Preparing, sending, receiving, and reviewing power of attorney documents (if required)
  • Make sure everything is in Softpro and notes are current and accurate.
  • Touch each file on a daily basis to insure you are on top of each file.
