The UCI Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing is dedicated to the education of nursing professionals who will improve patient care and promote population health locally and globally. The school strives to produce leaders in research, education, and clinical practice who will champion collaborative, compassionate, and interdisciplinary evidence-based practice. This NIH funded research study is a community-based project working with youth ages 11 to 14 and their families. The project coordinator will participate in all aspects of the project's day-to-day management.
Responsibilities:Uses professional community educational program concepts to deliver standardized educational and volunteer educational programs. Applies established procedures and programs to address county program educational needs that are limited in scope. Follows standard practices in analyzing program content and delivery needs and determining effectiveness of current programs. Receives detailed instructions on all assignments. The Teaching Healthy Regulation in Individuals & Variable Environments (THRIVE) Research Community Health Worker (CHW) will closely work with the primary Principal Investigator (PI) and THRIVE Project Coordinator (PC) with all overall research activities including (1) delivering a psychoeducational health coaching intervention to adolescents and their caregivers over Zoom, (2) collecting research data in community settings, (3) assisting research participant recruitment with PI and PC, and (4) providing other general administrative support.
