OverviewKimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Project Manager to expand our Transportation Planning/Traffic practice in White Plains, New York (NY)!Responsibilities Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor.Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of our transportation engineering practice in the local area and beyond.Assist in marketing and business development efforts with existing local municipal, state, and private clients, while delivering a wide variety of traffic engineering projects with our growing team of transportation professionals.Leadership responsibilities include:Operating with integrity and sound business principles.Providing vision, business planning, and strategy.Establishing goals.Building and maintaining positive client relationships.Having open communication with your partners and team.Growing and leading a Transportation/Traffic practice.The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business.Beyond serving existing clients, this person has the ability to pursue their own passions, leads, and clients.With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership.Qualifications 10+ years of traffic engineering and design experience.Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in New York and the surrounding areas.Some established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, local municipalities, and/or private developers.Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications.Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills.Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems.Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization.Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner.Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.Salary range: $150,000 - 200,000Why Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
