The Clinician position is a full time position offering a wide range of health benefits as well as a competitive salary!POSITION SUMMARY: Provides quality psychotherapeutic and discharge planning services to all patient populations and their families. Provides assessment, group treatment, family work, and discharge planning. Serves as a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy. CUSTOMERS SERVED: Adults (age 18 +)Patients; families; direct-care service providers; external funding sources; service, accreditation, and licensing agencies; external case managers; other staff; and the community.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires sufficient body mobility to accomplish essential functions. Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel with ease. Requires walking and standing often. Requires frequently speaking on the telephone. Able to write legibly and grammatically to convey patient behavior and information in the patient chart. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. Communicating fluently and effectively both verbally and in writing in English. Ability to perform HWC techniques. Knowledge of milieu management.Knowledge of appropriate assessments, diagnoses, and interventions with patients. Ability to maintain professional relationships with patients, patient's family members, staff and community personnel. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and high ethical standardsAssessment skills for evaluating mental illness and substance abuse in clients age 18 and above. Facilitation skills for leading process, psycho education, and multifamily groups.Treatment skills for working with patients and their significant others on safety in one or two sessions.Organizational and telephone skills for setting up aftercare appointments and placement.
