Prominent New York City real estate law firm seeking experienced attorney specializing in Landlord-Tenant disputes to join its litigation practice group.
- Candidate must have 7+ years of experience representing commercial and residential landlords and/or tenants in New York state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.
- Candidates must be able to research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, proposed orders, affidavits, contracts, demand letters, settlement agreements and other legal documents, and should have experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and representing clients in trials, arbitrations and mediations.
- Position entails working closely with partners, associates and support staff, communicating with and counseling clients, making court appearances, corresponding and negotiating with opposing counsel, and staying up-to-date with relevant landlord-tenant laws and real estate regulations.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in the State of New York. Position pays a base salary of $150,000 or more, depending on experience and other factors, as well as participation in law firm's revenue sharing program, plus a full array of healthcare benefits and insurance.
