This role involves leading a team of warehouse staff, optimizing processes, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)Assist with warehouse operationsRecruit, train and supervise staff to ensure a high-performing teamAssists with inventory control and inventory processesPurchase warehouse supplies, track supplier performance, maintain POs, and manage vendor relationshipsAssist warehouse department managers with day-to-today activities to maintain a high level of productivity in all areasMaintain positive relationships with all company departments on a continuous basis with key areas such as Sales, Customer Service, and FinanceWork to maximize production and improve efficiencies and to minimize down-time in all departmentsWork with Receiving and Planning teams to ensure POs are correct and received timelyProvide leadership in health and safety and ensure a clean and safe work environmentEncourage & promote teamwork, cooperation and a good working atmosphere within the warehouseSupervisory Responsibilities:Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring; instructing and training on proper work methods, planning, scheduling, and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations and administering disciplinary actions.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field is preferred5+ Years experience in warehouse management or a similar roleNetSuite experience preferred but not requiredLocation: Fulton, NYKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong leadership and team management skillsExcellent organizational skills, ability to multi-taskExceptional attention to detailCapable of managing multiple projects within assigned timelines with presentation skills when requiredStrong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong problem-solving skillsEquipment Used:Computer, printer, telephone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner, calculator, forklift and pallet jack.Computer Software: Outlook, Excel, Word, NetSuitePhysical and Mental Requirements:Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.Exerts in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Environmental Conditions:There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
