Role Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid QMA license in the state of Maine.
  • Ability to complete a drug test, background check, and W9 form.

About the Role:

You know better than anyone that QMAs are essential members of a facility's medical team. Your role is to assist physicians and nurses with administrative tasks and basic patient care to keep everything running smoothly. Here are a few things you might do:

  • Dispense oral and topical medications to residents per physician's order.
  • Record medications given and their dosages in the nurse's medication administration record (MAR) chart.
  • Observe residents for symptoms and conditions that could be related to medication interactions, adverse drug reactions, or medication side effects.
  • Assist with resident care as needed.
