Job Description :
Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies to support growth and improve efficiencies across all Fairlead divisions.
  • Align supply chain operations with Fairlead's Operating Plan, market demands, and customer expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reductions, risk mitigation, and operational improvements in supply chain management activities. Track key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve purchasing effectiveness.
Supply Chain Operations Management:
  • Overall responsible for all purchasing, material control, and subcontract management functions across Fairlead.
  • Ensure timely and efficient sourcing, production, and delivery of material.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure terms which are favorable to Fairlead.
  • Coordinate with requirements owners across all Fairlead divisions to coordinate supply chain activities.
Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and direct Fairlead's purchasing process ensuring full compliance with company approved procedures, and ensuring compliance with all government regulations affecting purchasing.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain teams across purchasing, material control, and subcontracts administration.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of suppliers by establishing key performance indicators and overseeing vendor accountability programs.
  • Oversee vendor selection, performance evaluation, and risk management.
  • Implement and manage systems to track vendor & supplier compliance with contractual flow-down clauses.
Logistics and Distribution:
  • Overall responsible for ensuring that all material inventory is managed in Cost Point.
  • Optimize logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution channels.
  • Identify, assess, and if appropriate, implement technology and automation solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Cost and Efficiency Optimization:
  • Monitor and control supply chain costs, including raw material costs, shipping, warehousing, and production.
  • Implement lean practices, inventory optimization, and demand forecasting models to improve cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform commodity cost analysis, and market-based benchmarking.
Risk Management:
  • Identify risks in the supply chain (e.g. supplier disruptions, environmental risks, shortages, delays) and develop contingency plans.
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate procurement risks, to include vendor and supplier financial and performance viability.
Reporting & Analytics:
  • Develop performance metrics and dashboards to monitor and report supply chain efficiency.
  • Report on supply chain performance including key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, cost per unit, and inventory turnover.
Minimum Experience, Education, Certifications, Licensure, and Skills Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience leading large teams in complex organizations with demonstrated success in achieving targets related to supply chain management, production, cost management, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Expertise in logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in cost management and process optimization.
  • Extensive knowledge of Deltek Costpoint finance, procurement, and project management modules and the platform's integration with other systems. Adept at using Costpoint to manage cost structures, track expenses, and ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition.
  • Skilled at leveraging Costpoint's reporting tools to provide real-time insights into project performance, budget variances, and cost projections.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred.

Work Environment: This position is performed in a traditional office environment, with local travel between facilities. Some out-of-area travel may be required.
