We are looking for qualified hospitality professionals like yourself to help us continue to grow and add new stores in the Asheville area! We are hiring for part-time and full-time servers at our North Asheville location. Hours may fluctuate based on the needs of the business. Luella's offers counter service, however, the server also assists with making recommendations, suggesting food pairings and spending the whole duration of the meal with guests. Prepares the tables, making sure condiments are refilled and performing all other preparation tasksStays updated on current menu choices and specialsSuggests dishes, assists in drink selection, informs customers about food preparation details, and communicates specific customer needs to the cooksMaintains proper dining experience, delivers food and drink items, fulfills customer needs, offers desserts and drinks, removes courses, replenishes utensils and refills glassesPrepares mixed drinksObtains revenues, issues receipts, accepts payments, and returns customer changePerforms basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by MODFills in for absent staff as neededAssists with special events as neededGreet all guests and owners warmly and with an appropriate greetingAdheres to grooming and appearance standards consistentlyUnderstands and clearly communicates products and services available at the restaurantMust have some familiarity with basic cooking skillsOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate will possess at least 90% of the following: Integrity, honesty, accountability, a passion for excellence and an incapability of making excuses for anything less than excellenceA natural surplus of hospitality extended to guests, employees and vendors no matter the circumstancesAn unusually attentive focus on details and a compulsive desire to make even the smallest details perfectAbove all, a desire to be the bestExcellent communication skills requiredPrevious server experience is requiredMust be at least 18 years old PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
