Hi! We are the Joneses! Our kids Harry and Pepper are sweet, down to earth and curious kids. We are so blessed to be able to raise them on our working farm, where we grow produce and raise livestock. Dad (Rob) and Mum (Pam - she's from England, hence Mum, not Mom) both work from home - Pam on the farm and Rob in a corproate leadership training role that has him travelling quite a bit. We are looking for a nanny to join our team part-time. We have some flexibility on hours, but would like the equivalent of 5 half days a week. We are really looking for someone who shares in our parenting ethos. Lots of time outside, lots of creative opportunities and an abundance of love and attention. As families go, we are on the crunchier side of things. We grow most of what we eat and priortize the health of our bodies and the planet in most of our choices. Were talking cloth diapers, cooking from scratch, limited single use plastic... you get the idea! Were also homeschooling, and we would love a caregiver who was excited to collaborate on that for our son Harry, though the curriculum-based lessons would be completed by us parents.Our unicorn would be finding someone with similar values to us, who adores being outside, taking fun field trips, and most of all, loves kids. We would love to find someone who could join our family for years, not months. Responsibilities would include maintaining a loose schedule of activities with the kids including field trips to local activities such as the library or park, local farms and museums. Preparing snacks and drinks. Diapering our baby (cloth diapers - its a learning curve but pretty easy to pick up and we'd be there to help with this), nap time for the baby. Depending on hours, preparing and tidying up from lunch. We have pets (dog and cats) in the house as well as livestock which we raise for meat (outside...obviously). Sheep, cows, chickens, occasionally pigs and turkeys, and a sweet donkey named Iris (a pet...obviously!)
