Mersino is an established and growing competitor in the construction dewatering and pumping industry. Founded in 1988, we pursue those projects requiring a high level of expertise and professionalism, throughout the country. Mersino is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, individual to join our Sales team as a Sales Representative!

As our Outside Sales Representative, you will manage existing customers as well as develop new business within Michigan City, Northern Illinois, and Southern Wisconsin markets and surrounding territories.

Our Outside Sales Representatives drive business development and serve as a representative of the company, ultimately acting as a point of contact for our clients ensuring they receive premium products with a high degree of customer satisfaction in a manner that is profitable for the company. The ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic, the ability to develop business in an industry with high demand and limited competition, and that extra something that separates the most successful people from the rest.

If you have experience with strategic planning, market analysis, reaching sales goals, and have the ability to not only get your foot in the door, but to create and build lasting customer relationships, we will teach you the rest!

Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development, build and maintain close relationships with clients, and ensure supreme customer satisfaction in the assigned territory
  • Develop the skills and product/service offerings knowledge necessary to become a technical expert in our business
  • Plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Manage projects from beginning to end
  • Speak effectively with existing customers and educate prospective customers on the various products and services we offer
  • Provide excellent customer service and prompt responses to all customer inquiries

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in large equipment rental, manufacturing, industrial construction, excavation, public works and/or managing construction projects
  • Knowledge of dewatering or bypass pumping preferred
  • Associates degree in construction management or a related field
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating and bidding procedures
  • Skills in workflow analysis and management
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating and bidding procedures
  • Knowledge of contract documents and specifications
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements
  • Ability to travel
