POSITION SUMMARY:
The Logistics Coordinator (Transportation Planner) is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, encompassing all transportation modes (ocean, air, road, and rail) for all customers, suppliers, and manufacturing experiments, as well as, all type of materials handled by the facility (finished goods, semi-finished goods, raw material, WIP, packaging, reclaimed material, scrap material, new products launch and phased out items).
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Implement TMS
· Reduce freight cost and find better alternatives to manage daily fuel and freight rate increases driven by the transportation market.
· Reduce inbound and outbound shipments transit-time.
· Assure that all inbound and outbound shipments will be performed on time, according to the customers and suppliers promised date
· Develop SLA
· Centralize 100% of the inbound and outbound shipments in the Transportation Management Department
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
· Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and/or Supply Chain.
· 2 years manufacturing, warehouse, or grocery shipping experience required or customer service rep experience in a logistics setting.
· SAP ERP experience well desired, especially in MM, PP, PU and/or SD.
· Experience in Supply Chain with focus on Logistics and Transportation Management
· Savvy in data management and Microsoft software (Excel - Pivot tables, Vlookup and Macro plus PowerPoint. Access is a plus).
