About Entrepreneur First

At Entrepreneur First ( EF ), we believe that a small number of exceptional people will have an extraordinary impact by creating the technology companies which shape the future in ways we cannot yet imagine. We also believe that for many of these individuals, entrepreneurship is not an obvious or entirely legible career path.

We exist to identify, and amplify the impact of, these individuals. We do this via our unique approach to company creation, which sees us identify and work with outliers before they even know they're outliers, right through to the day they prove it. We call this Talent Investing.

The companies built at EF are now worth over $10bn. They include Tractable (a computer vision unicorn), Magic Pony Technology (AI, acquired by Twitter for a reported $150m), La Vie (foodtech), Kinetix (creator tools), Neoplants (biotech) and many more.

EF is backed by some of the world's leading founders and investors, including Patrick and John Collison (Stripe); Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn), Tom Blomfield (GoCardless and Monzo), Sara Clemens (Pandora and Twitch); Nat Friedman (GitHub); and Matt Mullenweg (Wordpress). We exist to make great companies happen that otherwise wouldn't.

The Role

The SF office exists to allow EF-funded companies to fundraise from Bay Area investors. As Program Coordinator, you will be focussed on supporting the SF fundraising team to deliver a world-class experience for all the founders going through the fundraising program (called 'SF Launch'). The goal is twofold: 1) for founders to have the best possible experience and fundraising outcomes and 2) to build EF's reputation as one of the best places to find early-stage companies, by consistently delivering on-brand experiences for investors.

You will deliver operational and organisational support to the SF fundraising program, working closely with the SF fundraising team. You will also work alongside many of EF's talent investors (TIs), who will be doing monthly or two month stints in SF to work with the founders they know best. You will support the SF operations team to deliver a number of high-profile and exciting flagship events, such as EF's Demo Day, as well as taking the lead across various day-to-day operational tasks on the ground in SF, playing a pivotal role in setting the founders up for success. Additionally, you will also work closely with the New York operations team to coordinate talent initiatives across the US.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced role, offering a unique opportunity to manage projects end to end and to support some of the world's most exceptional individuals to build companies that will change the world. It is a role that requires you to wear multiple hats and to be comfortable operating in an ambiguous and intense environment. In turn, you will have the opportunity to supercharge your development and growth trajectory, gaining exposure to each facet of the talent management and venture-building process.

Please note: This role requires you to be able to work up to five days a week at our San Francisco office. We are seeking candidates who are currently based in the Bay Area.

What you'll do

* Support the SF fundraising team to deliver seamless event operations

* This will include working closely with external speakers to organise fireside chats, leading logistics for happy hours, organising intimate dinners, supporting hosting investors in our office for founder intros, scheduling practice VC sessions and coordinating events in our office space. You will seamlessly deliver events and logistical support to the highest standard.

* Manage our SF office, establishing an environment for founders and the EF team to thrive

* You will proactively manage our space, taking pride in how we present the office to investors and founders. This will include managing office health and safety, equipment audits and ordering office supplies.

* Diary management - supporting our Senior Leadership team to streamline and optimise their time

* Working closely with Senior Leadership, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that things run to plan and to time. You will have ownership over the US' General Manager's diary and travel, managing schedules intelligently and supporting them to optimise their time.

* Support internal teams with recruitment initiatives, ensuring we attract, find and work with the most exceptional individuals in the world

* Working closely with our teams across our US talent hubs and you will support the smooth running of candidate selection days and lead on elements of pipeline management, collaborating with our data and tooling team to refine talent processes and onboarding flows.

* Provide program delivery support for SF Launch

* You will be responsible for coordinating the schedule and the delivery of our SF launch program to optimize the effectiveness of the fundraising phase. This will include drafting communications, managing logistics and taking notes during internal debriefs and meetings.

Who you are

* You enjoy being the operational powerhouse behind events. You appreciate the value of producing high-quality events that make attendees feel special, and are comfortable being in the weeds to ensure seamless delivery. You have a can do attitude and desire to get things done , whilst maintaining a keen attention for detail

* You thrive when making order from chaos . You enjoy building new processes, implementing tooling to streamline operations and like to bring structure and organisation to any environment you are part of. You embrace being in a supporting role and take pride in enabling teams to operate at the highest level, prioritising efficiency and effectiveness.

* You are looking for a fast-paced work culture and flourish in environments with high levels of ambiguity and change. You are able to synthesise large amounts of information quickly and accurately and your approach to problem-solving is calm, methodical and determined. If the answer isn't obvious, you are not afraid to think outside of the box and think on your feet. You enjoy wearing many hats and juggling priorities.

* You are a clear communicator, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders. You have a team player mentality, understand the importance of keeping stakeholders informed and your colleagues trust you to make things happen .

* You are driven and eager to learn quickly and like the idea of operating in a small, high-performing team. You are not phased by new ideas, concepts or processes but instead embrace the opportunity to learn new skills and ways of working from those around you.

What we offer

* A competitive salary and generous upside potential based on performance

* A buzzing office space full of technical founders working on world changing businesses

* The opportunity to supercharge your learning by working with a diverse global team across Europe, Asia and North America

* Attractive vacation allowance; in addition to our annual leave policy, we also close our offices globally for around two weeks over Christmas and New Year

* A Learning & Development allowance to purchase any product or service that will contribute to your personal or professional development

* Enhanced parental leave, plus broader leave policies. We care about our team and enabling the right balance between home and working life
