We are expanding rapidly in the U.S. and international markets and are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to help lead the charge.

Position Overview

As the Senior Business Development Manager, you'll be the technical bridge between our Sales and Marketing teams and the Engineering department, creating tailored product solutions that meet customer needs. Your expertise will drive Exxelia's growth in the medical manufacturing sector across the US, Europe, and Asia, providing impactful solutions to cutting-edge design challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customer design engineers on choosing or designing medical device innovations and/or resistors for their product or project.
  • Act as a source of information and analytics regarding use of our technology and its uses in the medical device markets and applications which influences new product decisions.
  • Determine viability of an opportunity by assessing manufacturing challenge, price point, and other customized requests.
  • Support Business Development Managers with the development of quotations by providing accurate and thorough customer design requirements.
  • Engage in pricing negotiations.
  • Work routinely with sales reps and distributors on sales opportunities, specifically on targeted accounts and applications.
  • Work with internal design engineering team to evaluate new custom designs.
  • Conduct competitive analysis.
  • Travel to visit customers and / or vendors required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years in a senior sales, executive, or similar leadership role with a proven track record of driving the medical device business in the US, European, and Asian markets.
  • Experience collaborating with customers to solve complex design challenges while promoting products.
  • Ability to build strong technical rapport, deeply understand customer applications, and recommend design solutions.
  • Strong business process analysis, technical requirement interpretation, and product knowledge skills.
  • Exceptional leadership in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time both domestically and internationally
