Our client has a history of hiring veterans through RecruitMilitary and is looking to expand their Factory Technician team. In this is a high travel job, you will be responsible for installation, testing, maintaining, repairing and training on the client's products at customer sites. You'll perform final machine acceptance inspections to machine shipment to verify that the equipment meets the customer's needs. You'll provide updates and modifications to machinery at the customer sites and train them on the use and maintenance of the equipment. Occasionally, you will be asked to act as a site-manager, directing the workload and tasks of other field technicians, assembly and engineering personnel, while coordinating with the customer and other contract/ OEM site personnel. Flexibility is the name of the game with this road warrior role. You live anywhere between Hershey, PA and Stuarts Draft, VA., as you service equipment across six Hershey chocolate factories between those cities. The company allows you to use your own vehicle (milage only) or rent a vehicle to travel to the plant locations. If the location is closer to your home, you have the flexibility to drive home, or rack up your hotel points and stay on site.Candidates go to Switzerland for six months to complete a company training. The company also provides a robust education assistance program for lifelong learners.The company is looking for electro-mechanical switch hitters and has had success with helicopter mechanics in the past but wants to review the skillsets of other military skillsets. An understanding of aligning, testing, trouble shooting down to the component level and being able to demonstrate you can be customer facing and adhere to the client's company values.Base salary, with overtime, and a 401k. Relocation is available. You will also accumulate hotel and rental points.
