Your Purpose:Primarily responsible for maintaining and stocking consumables for the Furnace or Casters, general housekeeping duties (includes 5S and cleaning), assisting other furnace operators as needed and may be responsible for collecting and running slag samples. Your Work:Unload trucks and stock supplies and/or consumables.Operate/stock temperature and sampling device used to take temperatures, oxygen readings and steel samples.May also take care of slag pots/pits as needed (i.e clean out pits with shovels, water, et).Assist in maintaining refractory (patching or gunning).Maintain runner/tap hole.Build and add electrodes.Record data in production systems.Communicate with team members.#thegerdauwearecreating
