Role Description

The Office Administrator will be responsible for a variety of general office and administrative duties, with a focus on project management and tax return assembly. This role involves working closely with our professional staff to deliver exceptional service to our clients, the ideal candidate will be detail oriented, possess strong collaboration and communication skills, and enjoy client interaction in a tax compliance setting.

Responsibilities

• Track tax deadlines and ensure all client tax returns are filed timely

• Supervise project due dates and communicate project status with firm leadership

• Assembly and delivery of completed tax returns

• Correspond with clients via email/telephone in a courteous, professional manner

• Conduct preliminary reviews of tax documents for completeness and accuracy

• Organize and maintain tax records, including electronic and paper files

• Assist Administrative Manager with various firm operations, including greeting clients, answering phones, and other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

• 1 year of clerical or administrative work experience in a professional office setting (tax or accounting firm experience preferred, but not required)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Outlook and Excel

• Strong organizational, communication, and team collaboration skills

• Ability to exercise discretion when working with confidential client information

• Ability and willingness to work overtime during tax season or when requested, including some weekends
