It is with this in mind that we seek to improve dailyby championing quiality and efficiency through a dedicated workforce and cooperative spirit.Typical Duties include:Maintains accurate records of all property impounded by the department; enters information an electronic database.Ensures the proper storage of property in the property evidence room.Prepares correspondence to inform owners of recovered property.Release property to owners as appropriate.Coordinates the purging and disposal of property; coordinates with appropriate officers; coordinates auctions as appropriate; coordinates the destruction of property as appropriate.Transfers monies to the Finance Department for deposit.Processes impounded vehicles; prepares correspondence for owners and lien holders.Prepares and transmits evidence for laboratory examinations.Participates in special events and programs.Performs related duties.Minimum Qualifications include:Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/ internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.The salary for this position is graded between $54,341.73-64,011.78and will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
