Job Summary
Participates in the development, execution, and operations of The Student Success Program, a component part of The Cleveland State University, College of Law (CSU|LAW) Student Opportunity and Success Program. Responsible for the development and execution of mentoring, programming related to leadership, communication, networking, academic advising and student belonging initiatives for students in The Student Success Program. Works closely with others in CSU|LAW to integrate the student experience from recruitment, admissions, enrollment, professional and academic success through law school, and post-graduation employment. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in preferably in human resources, counseling, management, communication, or related fields.
* One (1) year of progressively responsible related work experience in student services, counseling, student advising, admissions, law practice, or similar fields.
Preferred Qualifications
* J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school or master's degree in higher education administration
* Three (3) years of progressively responsible related work experience in student services, counseling, student advising, admissions, career advising, law practice or similar fields. Prior university experience. Familiarity with the local legal community.
* Prior experience with academic technology.
* Experience in program planning, implementation, and assessment in the following areas, academic advising, career planning, admissions, academic assistance, or teaching.
* Experience working with programs and services designed to enhance retention of students.
