Robert Half Management Resources is actively seeking a talented individual to serve as a Finance Business Process Owner for our client's Oxides and Derivatives Division at their main office in The Woodlands, Texas. This individual will be brought on as a project consultant.
In this role, the Finance Business Process Owner will be reporting to the Global Manager of Business Process Excellence, tasked with enhancing finance protocols to better align with business goals. The BPO will function as the main expert on the SAP S/4 Hana functional area. The role's responsibilities include heading up activities like rolling out SAP S/4 Hana related systems/integrations to factory sites, pinpointing areas for improvement, determining digitalization requirements to enhance processes, and providing continued support post-implementation. The BPO will also be in charge of conducting role authorization audits and review for their specific area and will serve as a primary point of contact for auditors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Data Governance/Compliance: Make sure master data is audited, protocols are adhered to and users are educated on present processes for submission. Oversee the SLA delivery standard.
- Process Improvements: Develop, design and apply process enhancements in alignment with business needs for the respective functional area. Handle and administer all process enhancements in the functional area, with comprehensive knowledge of detailed business and systems processes that interact with the business. Support team in maximizing the potential of available tools and optimize reporting tools to boost accuracy and efficiency. Spearhead the review of standard systems and future programs to enable ongoing improvement and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and rectify technical issues flagged by super users; troubleshoot and resolve issues including errors, augmentations and enhancements related to SAP and other system issues; ensure accurate and speedy resolution of queries and problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with SAP, preferably S/4 Hana, with expertise in the Finance module. Experience with SAP FI/CO is necessary. Knowledge of all other relevant Finance modules is preferred.
- Previous experience with SAP ECC to S/4 migration is desirable.
- Experience in the Chemical Manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in finance or connected transformation, consolidation, and data validation, auditing
- High ability to multitask and prioritize workload to achieve objectives on time.
- Independence, decision-making skills, and ability to influence others are essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict management, are required.
- Must have the ability to document SAP processes and provide training.
- Leadership skills and ability to interact confidently at all levels of the organization are highly desirable.
