In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts DistributionofCat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurementand thedesign andmanufactureof Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters). Job Summary The Quality Assurance Analyst performs quality control and/or technical support for all functional departments to ensure client standards are maintained.Additional Information
  • This position is located in-office at our Champaign, IL location and does not provide relocation
  • There is 10% or less domestic travel expected with this role
What You Will Do
  • Working with customers and suppliers to review quality cases and disposition of material
  • Analyzing incoming customer quality concerns
  • Working Quality Cases assigned from Quality customer service
  • Collecting non-conformance data and maintaining and updating quality system documents
  • Preparing Quality Return POs for returned goods from customers.
  • Containment of non-conforming material including validating and verifying on-hand material using standard calibrated gauges
  • Identifying potential non-conforming material which has been shipped
  • Issuing and managing proactive alerts to customers
  • Interacting with Operations on operational cause defects
  • Reviewing design prints and 1E specifications
What You Will Have

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. Level Working Knowledge.
  • Quality Management System (QMS): Knowledge of Quality Management System's (QMS) functions, features, and capabilities; ability to design, implement, test, and maintain Quality Management Systems to consistently meet customer requirements and regulatory compliances. Level Basic Understanding.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences. Level Basic Understanding
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
Top Candidates Will Also Have
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization. Level Working Knowledge.
  • Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance. Level Basic Understanding
