The Director of Residences willprovide overall management and direction for specific OPWDD residential programs including management of staff, controlling the budget, developing & implementing policies & procedures, participating in meetings, as well as coordinating the program with others in the agency. - Provide leadership, support & guidance to managers & assistant managers of the Residential Group Homes.
- Provide management with training in the areas of regulatory compliance, person-centered planning, conflict resolution, supervisory skills, and upkeep of the actual residence via regular supervisory sessions with managers and assistant managers using a combination of joint and individual sessions.
- Maintain written logs of supervisory sessions and monitor staff follow-up on recommendations.
- Visit each residence regularly to monitor programs, records, and services to individuals.
- Review QIDP and CFA follow-up and provide oversight for initiatives in quality improvement.
- Assist residential personnel to prepare for audits, and assist in implementing suggested and/or necessary program changes identified by auditors. Write the POC & ensure all changes is carried out.
- Support the clinical teams in each location to ensure optimal outcomes for the individuals we serve.
- Participate in incident investigations and follow-up.
- Assist in interviews with potential residential managerial staff, including union staff.
- Attend agency, fundraising events and community functions, outside the regular work schedule, as requested by the supervisor.
- Encourage and promote professionalism in our programs & participate in New staff orientation.
- As requested by the supervisor, active participation in committees, internal and external to the Agency Mission, Strategic Plan, and Programs related to residences.
- Conduct annual performance reviews of Residence Managers and to participate with Residence Managers in annual performance evaluations of Assistant Managers, clinicians & union staff.
- Fill in, when needed, in a management role. Be able to assess when temporary staff is needed & oversee staffing patterns.
- Be on call to the residences 24/7 and serve as weekend ADMINISTRATOR ON Duty (AOD) on assigned weekends and holidays
- Participate in inter-departmental meetings of the agency.
- Adhere to Corporate Compliance Guidelines of Mercy Home.
- Complete other tasks as designated by the Sr. Director of Residences.

- Ability to work flexible hours including late evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
